Why train my managers ?
The path to parenthood is a vast, sensitive, and very personal subject. When a team member is struggling with its challenges, colleagues and managers may feel awkward, powerless and underprepared, unsure how to support them.
It can be hard to find the right balance between empathy and respecting professional boundaries, especially since these experiences are so emotionally charged.
With a few key concepts and plenty of practical exercises, your managers will be equipped to best support their team members. They will gain confidence and professionalism while discovering and practicing their own authentic approach.
Workshops
These highly interactive workshops combine practical exercises with open discussions about key concepts.
We will cover:
- What to say and what not to say
- Active listening — creating a safe space where the team member will feel heard and respected
- Professional boundaries
- Handling and expressing emotions
- Self care when supporting others — why it’s important and how to do it
Workshops are specifically designed for the format they take place in — online or in person
Coaching
When dealing with such sensitive subjects and situations, it can sometimes be beneficial for managers to receive support in the form of 1-1 coaching.
Depending on their needs, we can cover:
- How to support others in the context of our own personal histories
- Identifying and setting down boundaries
- Handling emotions
Coaching can take place online or in person
“My coaching sessions with Marie-Anne really helped me. I left each session feeling relieved, reassured and motivated.
What I really love is her combination of high emotional intelligence and careful, considerate listening. She supported me in identifying my emotions so as to better understand my needs. I came to her struggling with personal organisation and our sessions really helped me improve in that area.
I’m now much better at organising and prioritising on a daily basis, but also at mid- and long-term planning, time-keeping, and adding useful rituals to both my personal and professional life. It’s great.”
